PS166 Acrylic Polysiloxane Topcoat
This is a two-component chemically cured acrylic polysiloxane coating free of isocyanates. As a high-solids product, it exhibits excellent gloss and color retention, outstanding mechanical properties, and superior chemical resistance. It allows recoating at any stage of curing and can cure at low temperatures as low as 0°C. Being isocyanate-free, it does not generate diisocyanates during pyrotechnic operations, welding, or fire accidents.

Application Guidelines
Surface Preparation
Ensure the substrate is free of grease, dust, moisture, and other impurities before applying PS166, and it must have a corresponding primer. To ensure film appearance, the primer should be smooth and free of surface defects such as dry spray and orange peel.
Mixing and Dilution
PS166 is a two-component product requiring correct component ratio. Mix the entire contents of each paint bucket thoroughly. First, stir the base material until uniform and smooth (no more than 2 minutes), then slowly add the curing agent and stir for 3 minutes. A variable-speed power stirrer is recommended. Avoid over-stirring, as this will accelerate curing and shorten the product’s pot life. High temperatures shorten the mixture’s pot life, while low temperatures extend it. Dilution is generally not required; if necessary, add a small amount of thinner (5% or less) depending on local VOC and air quality regulations.
Application Methods
PS166 can be applied by airless spraying, roller coating, or conventional spraying.
Ventilation
Maintaining good ventilation in enclosed spaces is critical for applicator safety and ensuring the product’s proper performance. The air must be dry, as the product cannot be applied at humidity >85%.
