Description

Overview

WH-SZ121 is a two-component solvent-based inorganic zinc-rich primer composed of high-quality ethyl silicate, zinc powder, and heat-resistant anti-rust pigments. It can be used as both a workshop protection primer and a permanent anti-rust primer. Characterized by fast drying, excellent cutting and welding performance, superior resistance to seawater, electrostatic conductivity, and heat resistance (anti-rust at 400°C), it offers excellent compatibility and can be paired with epoxy, perchloroethylene, chlorinated rubber, and other systems. As a general-purpose anti-rust primer, it provides long-term protection for steel in medium-to-severe corrosion environments.

Application Guidelines

  1. Surface Preparation
    • Remove oil and grease with appropriate cleaning agents.
    • Blast clean to at least Sa 2.5 grade. Surface roughness should equivalent to Rugotest No.3 standard, minimum N9a or Keane-Tator comparator panel 50 μm area, or ISO medium roughness (G,S). Coarse grit blasting may be used if necessary.
  2. Mixing and Dilution
    • Before use, stir the base material until uniform, then slowly add the zinc powder curing agent and mix thoroughly. Reverse operation is prohibited.
    • Filter the mixed paint through a 60–80 mesh sieve. Dilution is only permitted for the mixed paint. For airless spraying, maximum thinner usage is 30%.
  3. Application Conditions
    • Substrate temperature during application and curing must be above 0°C and at least 3°C above dew point.
    • Maximum relative humidity: 85%.

Safety Measures

  • Observe the warning labels on packaging containers.
  • Use in well-ventilated areas.
  • Avoid swallowing or inhaling paint mist.
  • Prevent skin contact. If paint comes into contact with skin, immediately clean with suitable cleaning agents and soapy water. If splashed into eyes, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention immediately.
