PU165 is an excellent two-component aliphatic acrylic polyurethane topcoat, semi-gloss, with high solid content and excellent gloss and color retention. When used with epoxy primer or polyurethane primer, a high-strength long-term anti-corrosion system can be obtained.

Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation
Before applying WH-PU166, the substrate must be free of grease, dust, moisture, and other contaminants and must have a suitable primer. To ensure film appearance, the primer should be smooth and free of surface defects such as dry spray and orange peel.
Mixing and Dilution
WH-PU166 is a two-component product requiring correct component ratio. Mix all material in each drum thoroughly before use. First, stir the base material until uniform and smooth (no more than 2 minutes), then slowly add the curing agent and stir for 3 minutes. A variable-speed power stirrer is recommended. Avoid over-stirring, as this may accelerate curing and shorten pot life. High temperatures shorten the mixture’s pot life, while low temperatures extend it. Dilution is generally not required; if necessary, add a small amount of thinner (5% or less) in compliance with local VOC and air quality regulations.
Application
WH-PU166 can be applied by airless spraying, roller coating, or conventional spraying.
Ventilation: Good ventilation in enclosed spaces is critical for applicator safety and product performance. Air must be dry, as application at humidity >85% is prohibited.

Safety Measures
Warning: Irritating to eyes and skin. Vapors may cause respiratory allergies in sensitive individuals. May cause skin allergic reactions. Avoid inhaling vapors. Keep away from eyes and skin. Use protective equipment for eyes, ears, and skin. Use a suitable respirator to prevent potential respiratory irritation. Thoroughly wash skin after use. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. In case of respiratory arrest, perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and seek medical attention immediately.
First Aid: In case of eye contact, flush with clean water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes, and wash affected skin with soap.
