Application Guidelines
Surface Preparation
- Steel Substrates: Blast-clean to Swedish standard SIS 055900 Sa2.5.
- Pre-blasting Requirements: Ensure surfaces are free of oil, moisture, and contaminants.
- Overcoating on Existing Coatings:
- Inorganic zinc coatings: Must be dry and free of zinc salts.
- Metal-sprayed (aluminum/zinc) surfaces: Must be dry and clean.
Application Notes
- Film Thickness Control: Avoid excessive film thickness to prevent blistering at high temperatures. Use TH007 diluent to achieve lower dry film thickness.
- Curing Requirements: Full curing requires ≥200°C for 5 days; otherwise, the coating may retain thermoplastic properties.
- Total Film Thickness for High-Temperature Use: ≤75 μm dry film thickness.
- Heat Exposure: Do not expose to heat until fully dried (minimum 24 hours at 20°C).
Safety Measures
- Follow warning labels on packaging.
- Use in well-ventilated environments.
- Avoid ingestion, inhalation of paint mist, or skin/eye contact.
- For skin contact: Clean immediately with suitable cleanser and soapy water.
- For eye contact: Flush thoroughly with water and seek medical attention.
