Application Guidelines
Surface Preparation
WH-EZ080 is designed for direct application on steel surfaces that have been sandblasted to Sa2.5 grade in accordance with Swedish standard SIS055900. All surfaces must be free of grease, moisture, and other contaminants before sandblasting. For any uncertainties, contact our technical team.
Mixing & Dilution
- Mixing Procedure: As a two-component product, strict ratio control is required. First, stir the base material at low speed for ≤2 minutes until smooth and homogeneous. Then slowly add the curing agent in a continuous stream while stirring for 3 minutes. Allow 1-2 minutes of induction time before application.
- Dilution Notes: Dilution is generally not recommended, as excessive thinning may impair coating performance and appearance. Use a variable-speed electric mixer; avoid over-stirring to prevent accelerated curing and reduced pot life. Higher temperatures shorten pot life, while lower temperatures extend it.
Application
- Spraying Methods: Suitable for conventional air spraying or airless spraying. For airless equipment, a Graco 30:1 pump with a 0.43-0.58 mm nozzle is recommended to ensure smooth material flow.
- Key Requirements: Ensure equipment and fluid lines are clean and free of water/solvents. Maintain a spray angle of 40°-70° for uniform film thickness. For roller application, use new short-fine-nap rollers.
Safety Precautions
- Hazards: May cause eye and skin irritation; vapor may trigger respiratory irritation in sensitive individuals; potential skin allergy risk.
- Protective Measures: Avoid inhaling vapor; prevent contact with eyes and skin. Use eye/ear/skin protection and appropriate respiratory masks. After use, thoroughly wash skin with water.
- First Aid: In case of eye contact, flush with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention immediately. For respiratory arrest, perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and consult a physician. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
