Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation

• Remove dust, grease, etc., with appropriate cleaning agents.
• Use high-pressure fresh water to wash away salts and other contaminants, ensuring complete removal.
• Scrub with a stiff nylon brush if necessary to remove zinc white.
• For metal sprayed surfaces, apply the coating as soon as possible to avoid contamination.
• To achieve optimal adhesion, it is recommended to roughen the surface to be coated.

Mixing and Dilution

• EP400 is a two-component product with a specified mixing ratio. Use the entire contents of each barrel after mixing.
• First, stir the base material until uniform (no more than 2 minutes), then slowly add the curing agent and stir for 3 minutes. A variable-speed power stirrer is recommended.
• Avoid over-stirring, as this will accelerate curing and shorten the product’s pot life.
• High temperatures will shorten the mixture’s pot life, while low temperatures will extend it.
• EP400 is suitable for airless spraying. Ensure good ventilation when applying in confined spaces.
• Avoid construction in the presence of standing water or rain.
• When using airless spraying, a 0.53 mm nozzle and an output pressure of 25 MPa are recommended for optimal spraying results.

Safety Precautions

• Warning: May cause eye and skin irritation. Vapors may cause respiratory irritation in sensitive individuals. May cause skin allergic reactions.
• Avoid inhaling vapors. Do not contact eyes or skin.
• Use protective equipment for eyes, ears, and skin, and wear a suitable mask to prevent potential respiratory irritation.
• Thoroughly wash skin with water after use. Consult a doctor if discomfort occurs.
• Wash clothing before reuse.
• In case of respiratory arrest, perform artificial respiration (preferably mouth-to-mouth) and seek medical attention immediately.
• If contact with eyes occurs, rinse immediately with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical help promptly.
