Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation

• Ensure the substrate is free of grease, dust, moisture, and other contaminants before applying WH-PU164. A suitable primer must be pre-applied.
• To ensure film appearance, the primer surface should be smooth and free of defects such as dry spray or orange peel.

Mixing and Dilution

• WH-PU164 is a two-component product requiring precise component ratio. Mix the entire contents of each paint container before use.
• First, stir the base material until uniformly smooth (no more than 2 minutes), then slowly add the curing agent and stir for 3 minutes. A variable-speed power agitator is recommended.
• Avoid over-stirring, as this may accelerate curing and shorten pot life. High temperatures shorten pot life, while low temperatures extend it.
• Dilution is generally not required. If necessary, add a small amount of thinner (5% or less) in compliance with local VOC and air quality regulations.

Application

• WH-PU164 can be applied by airless spraying, roller coating, or conventional spraying.
• Ventilation: Good ventilation in enclosed spaces is critical for applicator safety and product performance. Air must be dry, as application is not permitted at humidity >85%.

• Warning: Irritating to eyes and skin. Vapors may cause respiratory allergies in sensitive individuals. May cause skin allergic reactions.
• Avoid inhaling vapors. Prevent contact with eyes or skin. Use protective equipment for eyes, ears, and skin.
• For potential respiratory irritation, use a suitable respirator. Thoroughly wash skin after use. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
• First Aid: In case of eye contact, flush with clean water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes, and wash affected skin with soap. If breathing stops, provide artificial respiration and seek immediate medical attention.
