Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation

• New Steel: Blast to Sa2.5 standard. Before final application, thoroughly clean damaged shop primer and contaminated areas during storage and processing. Repair damaged parts with this product or other specified epoxy coatings.
• Other Metals: Create a rough surface and clean with solvent to ensure dryness and freedom from impurities.
• Maintenance: Remove grease with appropriate cleaners. Eliminate salts and other contaminants with high-pressure freshwater. Remove loose rust and debris by blasting or power tools. Smooth edges, sweep away residues, and repair the coating to achieve the original film thickness.

Application

• High temperatures shorten the pot life of the mixture, while low temperatures extend it.
• WH-EP116 can be applied by airless spraying, brushing, or rolling. Ensure good ventilation in confined spaces. Avoid application in the presence of standing water or rain. For airless spraying, use a 0.53mm nozzle with an output pressure of 17.5 MPa for optimal results.

Safety Measures

• Warning: May cause eye and skin irritation. Vapors may trigger respiratory allergies in sensitive individuals and potential skin allergic reactions.
• Avoid inhaling vapors. Prevent contact with eyes or skin. Use protective gear for eyes, ears, and skin. Use a suitable respirator to avoid potential respiratory irritation. Thoroughly wash skin after use. Launder clothing before reuse.
• In case of respiratory arrest, perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and seek immediate medical attention. If eyes are contaminated, flush with clean water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician promptly.
