Storage and Shelf LifeThe product must be stored in accordance with national regulations. Store in a cool, well-ventilated place, avoiding excessive temperatures. Containers must be tightly sealed. Shelf life: 1 year.

Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation
Before applying PU161, the surface of the object to be coated must be free of grease, dust, moisture, and other impurities, and a corresponding primer must be applied. To ensure the appearance of the paint film, the primer should be smooth and free of surface defects such as dry spray and orange peel.
Mixing and Dilution
PU161 is a two-component product with a specific component ratio. It is necessary to fully mix each barrel of coating before use. First, stir the base material until it is uniformly smooth, which should not take more than 2 minutes. Then, slowly add the curing agent and stir for 3 minutes. It is recommended to use a variable-speed power stirrer. Do not over-stir, as this will accelerate curing and shorten the product’s pot life. High temperatures will shorten the mixture’s pot life, while low temperatures will extend it. Generally, no dilution is required. If necessary, a small amount of thinner (5% or less) can be added, subject to local regulations on VOC and air quality.
Application
PU161 can be applied by airless spraying, roller coating, or conventional spraying.
Ventilation
Maintaining good ventilation in enclosed spaces is crucial for the safety of construction personnel and the proper performance of the product. The air must be dry, as the product cannot be applied when the humidity exceeds 85%.

Safety Measures

  • Warning: Irritating to eyes and skin. Vapors may cause respiratory allergies in sensitive individuals. May cause skin allergic reactions. Avoid inhaling vapors. Do not contact eyes or skin. Wear protective equipment for ears, eyes, and skin. Use a suitable respirator to avoid potential respiratory irritation. Thoroughly wash skin after use. Clothes should be washed before reuse. In case of no breathing, perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and seek medical attention immediately.
  • First Aid: If accidentally contacted with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes, and wash the contacted skin with soap.
