Application Guidelines

1. Surface Preparation: Before final application, thoroughly remove damaged shop primers and contaminants accumulated during storage and processing. Repair damaged areas with this product or other specified epoxy coatings.
2. Maintenance: Clean grease with a suitable detergent. Remove salts and other contaminants with high-pressure fresh water. Use sandblasting or power tools to remove loose rust and debris. Smooth corners, sweep away residues, and apply a complete coating to achieve the original film thickness.
3. Mixing and Dilution: As a two-component product, WH-EP111 requires strict component ratio. Mix the entire contents of each paint bucket before use. First, stir the base material until uniform (no more than 2 minutes), then slowly add the curing agent and stir for 3 minutes. A variable-speed power stirrer is recommended. Avoid over-stirring to prevent accelerated curing and shortened pot life. High temperatures shorten the pot life, while low temperatures extend it.
4. Application: WH-EP111 can be applied by airless spraying, brush coating, or roller coating. Ensure good ventilation in confined spaces. Avoid application in the presence of standing water or rain. For airless spraying, use a 0.53mm nozzle with an output pressure of 17.5 MPa to achieve optimal spraying results.
5. Recoating Interval:
   • Minimum: For container paint production lines with a 40μm dry film thickness, allow at least 20 minutes of flash-off time before applying additional coats.
   • Maximum: 24 hours for acrylic and chlorinated rubber topcoats; 3 days for polyurethane topcoats; no maximum interval for epoxy coatings, but if the interval is too long, clean the surface to remove dirt, grease, and salts.

• Precautions: Avoid inhaling vapors. Keep away from eyes and skin. Wear protective equipment for ears, eyes, and skin. Use a suitable respirator to prevent potential respiratory irritation. Thoroughly wash skin after use. Wash clothes before reuse.
• First Aid: In case of respiratory arrest, perform mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and seek medical attention immediately. If contact with eyes occurs, rinse with clean water for at least 15 minutes and consult a doctor promptly.
