Application Guidelines

Surface Preparation
  • Steel Substrates: Blast-clean to Swedish Standard SIS 055900 Sa2.5 prior to application.
    – Key Requirements:
    • Remove all grease, moisture, and contaminants before blasting.
    • For surfaces pre-coated with inorganic zinc primers, ensure they are dry and free of zinc salts.
    • For aluminum/zinc-sprayed steel, ensure surfaces are dry and free of debris.
Painting Instructions
  • Film Thickness Control: Avoid excessive film buildup to prevent blistering during thermal exposure.
    – Dilute with TH007 thinner to achieve lower dry film thickness (DFT).
  • Curing Requirements:
    • Full curing requires exposure to >200°C for at least 5 days; otherwise, the coating may retain thermoplastic properties.
    • Total DFT of the coating system should not exceed 75 μm for high-temperature applications.
  • Post-Application Care: Avoid heat exposure until the coating is fully dry (minimum 24 hours at 20°C).

Safety Precautions

  • Read all warning labels on the packaging before use.
  • Use in well-ventilated areas to minimize vapor exposure.
  • Avoid ingestion, inhalation of paint mist, and direct skin contact.
  • In case of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and water. If paint enters eyes, flush with water and seek medical attention promptly.
