Tolonate™ HDB-LV is a low‑viscosity, solvent‑free aliphatic polyisocyanate based on hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) biuret.

2. Product Applications
Tolonate™ HDB-LV is commonly used as a crosslinker for hydroxyl‑containing polymers, especially polyester and polyacrylate polyols, to formulate two‑component polyurethane coatings or elastomers. It provides excellent outdoor durability, mechanical properties, solvent resistance, abrasion resistance, and chemical resistance.
Owing to its low viscosity, Tolonate™ HDB-LV is recommended for high‑solids, low‑VOC formulations.

5. Storage and Handling Precautions
Tolonate™ HDB-LV is moisture‑sensitive. Store at room temperature in the original packaging or containers protected by dry nitrogen. Recommended storage temperature: 0 – 30 °C.
6. Compatibility
Soluble in esters, ketones, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Ester–aromatic hydrocarbon blends are widely used. Use only urethane‑grade solvents (water content < 300 ppm) for dilution. Solids content after dilution shall not be lower than 40% to avoid clouding, precipitation, or gelation.
7. Shelf Life
2 years when stored in the original unopened packaging at 25 °C.
