Product Description
Vesmody® U505 is a high‑efficiency non‑ionic polyurethane thickener. It can effectively increase medium‑ and high‑shear viscosity of water‑borne systems, greatly improve coating fluidity and enhance storage stability. It delivers an optimal balance between medium‑shear and high‑shear viscosity. Solvent: Water, Diethylene Glycol Butyl Ether. Biocide: (CMIT/MIT = 3:1) 10 ppm and MIT 200 ppm.

Formulation & Application
Vesmody® U505 is a low‑viscosity liquid for convenient addition. It can be added directly during paint adjustment or after dilution.
Due to varying characteristics of different emulsions and different dosage levels, the dosage of Vesmody® U505 shall be adjusted according to the target viscosity of the final product. The recommended dosage is 0.1‑2.0 % of total formulation mass (as‑supplied basis). The exact addition amount shall be determined by pre‑tests prior to paint adjustment.
Storage
Store in a dark, cool and dry location within a temperature range of 5‑35 °C with intact packaging. The shelf‑life is one year from the date of production. Performance evaluation is recommended before use if the shelf‑life has expired. Seal the container immediately after each withdrawal. Once opened, use the product as soon as possible.
