WANNATE HT-90BS

WANNATE® HT-90BS (hexamethylene diisocyanate-based polyisocyanate solution) is an aliphatic polyisocyanate solution. It consists of 90% HDI trimer, 5% butyl acetate, and 5% No. 100 aromatic solvent oil. It is a colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid with aromatic odor at room temperature.

As a raw material for polyurethane production, WANNATE® HT-90BS is mainly used as a curing agent component for light-resistant two-component polyurethane coatings. The coatings exhibit excellent chemical resistance, weatherability, outstanding gloss retention, and superior mechanical properties. Ideal co-reactants include polyacrylates, polyester polyols, and alkyd resins.

 

Coating systems formulated with WANNATE® HT-90BS are suitable for air-drying or baking curing, and are used in automotive OEM coatings, automotive refinish, transportation vehicles, industrial products, and plastic finishing.

 

 

Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Keep containers tightly sealed. Store separately from oxidizing agents, acids, alkalis, alcohols, and food chemicals, and avoid mixed storage.

 

WANNATE® HT-90BS can be diluted with ester, ketone, and aromatic solvents such as ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, cyclohexanone, toluene, xylene, etc. It generally has good miscibility with the above solvents, but the storage stability of the prepared solution must be tested. Only urethane-grade solvents (water content < 0.05%, free of active groups such as hydroxyl or amino) shall be used. Aliphatic hydrocarbons are not suitable as solvents.

 

WANNATE® HT-90BS shall not be diluted to a solid content below 40%. Solutions with low binder content may develop turbidity and precipitation after long-term storage.

 

WANNATE® HT-90BS is generally compatible with aliphatic polyisocyanates, aromatic polyisocyanates, polyether polyols, and polyacrylates; however, the compatibility of the formulated solution should be tested.

 

This product is sensitive to moisture. Storage at elevated temperatures will cause an increase in viscosity and color number. When stored in the original unopened container under cool and dry conditions at 0~30℃, the shelf life is 15 months.
