WANNATE HDI

WANNATE® HDI (Hexamethylene Diisocyanate) is an aliphatic diisocyanate. It appears as a colorless or slightly yellow, low-viscosity liquid with a pungent odor at room temperature.

As a raw material for polyurethane production, WANNATE® HDI is mainly used in the manufacture of PU varnishes and high-grade coatings, automotive refinish coatings, plastic coatings, high-grade wood coatings, industrial coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, as well as elastomers, adhesives, textile finishing agents, etc.

 

The PU coatings prepared therefrom feature oil resistance, abrasion resistance, non-yellowing, color retention, chalking resistance, and outdoor weathering resistance. In addition, it is used in coating curing agents, polymer adhesives, low-temperature binders for printing pastes, collar copolymer coatings, fixed enzyme binders, etc.

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Keep containers tightly closed. Store separately from oxidizing agents, acids, alkalis, alcohols and food chemicals, and avoid mixed storage.

 

WANNATE® HDI is a clear and transparent liquid. Due to its reactive chemical nature, it readily reacts with water to form insoluble urea compounds and release carbon dioxide, causing drum swelling and increased viscosity. Therefore, during storage, containers must be kept strictly dry, sealed and protected with dry nitrogen.

 

This product is sensitive to moisture. When stored in the original unopened container under cool and dry conditions at 0~30℃, the shelf life is 9 months.
