WANNATE® BIO PDI (Pentamethylene Diisocyanate) is an aliphatic diisocyanate with a bio-based carbon content of over 72%. It is a colorless or pale yellow, low-viscosity liquid with a pungent odor at room temperature. This product falls into the isocyanate category.

As a raw material for bio-based polyurethane production, WANNATE® BIO PDI is mainly used in the manufacture of PU clear coats, high-grade coatings, automotive refinish coatings, plastic coatings, high-grade wood coatings, industrial coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, as well as elastomers, adhesives, textile finishing agents, TPU and daily chemicals.
The resulting PU coatings feature oil resistance, abrasion resistance, non-yellowing, color retention, anti-chalking, and outdoor weathering resistance. It is also used in coating curing agents, polymer adhesives, low-temperature binders for printing pastes, collar copolymer coatings, immobilized enzyme binders, etc.

4. Storage and Handling Precautions
Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from ignition sources and heat. Keep containers tightly sealed. Store separately from oxidizing agents, acids, alkalis, alcohols and food chemicals; do not store together.
WANNATE® BIO PDI is a clear and transparent liquid. Due to its reactive chemical properties, it readily reacts with water to form insoluble urea compounds and release carbon dioxide, which may cause drum swelling and increased viscosity. Therefore, during storage, containers must be completely dry, tightly sealed and protected with dry nitrogen.
5. Shelf Life
The product is moisture-sensitive. When stored in the original unopened container under cool and dry conditions at 0–30 °C, the shelf life is 9 months.
