WANNATE HT-500

WANNATE® HT-500 (hexamethylene diisocyanate-based polyisocyanate) is an aliphatic polyisocyanate. It is a colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid at room temperature.

As a raw material for polyurethane production, WANNATE® HT-500 has a lower viscosity than WANNATE® HT-100. It is mainly used as a curing agent for weather-resistant two-component polyurethane coatings, and its main application fields are high-solids systems for automotive refinish, transportation coatings and plastic coatings.

 

It can be used in combination with WANNATE® HT-100, WANNATE® HT-400, WANNATE® IT-170B, etc. The ideal coreactants are hydroxy-functional polyacrylates and hydroxy polyesters. Compatibility testing is recommended before use.

 

 

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Keep containers tightly closed. Store separately from oxidizing agents, acids, alkalis, alcohols and food chemicals, and avoid mixed storage.

 

WANNATE® HT-500 can be diluted with ester solvents, ketone solvents and aromatic solvents such as ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, cyclohexanone, toluene, xylene, etc. It generally has good miscibility with the above solvents, but the storage stability of the prepared solution must be tested. Only urethane-grade solvents (water content < 0.05%, free of reactive groups such as hydroxyl or amino groups) shall be used. Aliphatic hydrocarbons are not suitable as diluents.

 

WANNATE® HT-500 shall not be diluted to below 40% solids content, otherwise turbidity and precipitation may easily occur.

 

This product is sensitive to moisture. When stored in the original unopened container under cool and dry conditions at 0~30 °C, the shelf life is 6 months.
