WANEFOAM®9027 is a solvent-free, two-component polyurethane (PU) adhesive base with low viscosity，high bonding strength，fast curing speed, exhibits excellent bonding performance on substrates including metals, rock wool, cement boards, stone, and rigid polyurethane foams. It is widely applied in the manufacturing of decorative insulated panels and rock wool sandwich panels.

Product Introduction

WANEFOAM®9027 is a solvent – free two – component polyurethane adhesive base agent. It features low viscosity, high bonding strength, and fast curing speed. The main reaction – participating substances in this adhesive base agent are hydroxyl – containing compounds. It is used in combination with the curing agent WANNATE®2208. During the reaction process of the base agent and the curing agent, there will be a certain volume expansion, which helps the reaction products penetrate into the surface micropores of the bonded materials, increasing the adhesion and reducing the amount of adhesive used.

Product Usage

The two – component polyurethane adhesive system of WANEFOAM®9027 has good adhesion to the surfaces of metals, rock wool, cement boards, stones, rigid polyurethane foams, etc., and can be widely applied in the production fields of thermal insulation decorative panels and rock wool color steel plates. Before using the WANEFOAM®9027 two – component polyurethane adhesive, it is necessary to conduct tests first to ensure the reliability of the adhesive system in specific product production.

Precautions for Use

The conventional application equipment for WANEFOAM®9027 series adhesives is a two – component glue spraying machine. Before use, please check the conveying flow rate and mixing pressure of the base agent/curing agent of the glue spraying machine. The application of this adhesive can also adopt the processes of dropping glue and spreading glue.
During the use of the adhesive, the temperature of the base agent should not be lower than 20℃. At lower temperatures, the viscosity of the adhesive base agent will increase significantly, resulting in large errors in the flow rate of the glue spraying machine and increased equipment wear.
The surface of the bonded base material must be clean and dry. Before using this product, the base agent must be stirred evenly. During the curing process, a certain pressure must be applied to the contact surface to ensure good contact between the adhesive and both surfaces.
The use site should be a fire – prohibited area with good ventilation. It should be far away from fire sources, and smoking is strictly prohibited. When there is hot work nearby, the hot work approval system must be strictly implemented, and corresponding safety measures must be taken with dedicated personnel for supervision.
Before formal use, the buyer must conduct tests in an environment consistent with the use conditions to ensure the reliability of the adhesive in specific product production. Formal use is regarded as the buyer’s recognition of the product’s performance inspection as qualified. If the above operations are not followed, all responsibilities shall be borne by the buyer.

Storage (Use) Precautions

The two – component polyurethane adhesive system of WANEFOAM®9027 should be stored in a sealed and dry container to avoid absorbing water vapor.
It is recommended to store in an environment with a temperature of 10 – 30℃, avoiding direct sunlight, high temperatures, frost, and humidity.

Shelf Life

Under suitable storage conditions, the storage period of the WANEFOAM®9027 two – component polyurethane adhesive base agent is 12 months. After 12 months, it can be used continuously after passing the inspection.

Safety Precautions

Direct contact with the WANEFOAM®9027 base agent may cause mild skin irritation and skin allergies.
During operation, be careful to prevent direct contact with the skin and splashing into the eyes. Please wear necessary protective equipment (gloves, protective glasses, work clothes, etc.).
Once splashed on the skin or in the eyes, immediately rinse with clean water for at least 15 minutes. Wash the skin with soap, and seek medical advice if necessary. In case of ingestion, seek medical advice immediately for symptomatic treatment.

Fire and Explosion Hazards

This product is not a flammable liquid, explosive, oxidizer, corrosive, toxicant, or radioactive hazardous material during storage and transportation, and it is not a hazardous product.
Fire – extinguishing Media: Carbon dioxide, foam, or chemical dry powder fire extinguishers can be used for fire – fighting. When there are no other fire – extinguishing agents, a large amount of fog – like water can be sprayed. Once the fire is extinguished, the spilled materials should be cleaned up (see Leak and Spill Treatment).

Leak and Spill Treatment

Small amounts of leaked and spilled materials can be washed away with water. In case of a large – scale leak, collect and recycle the materials, and wash the contaminated ground with water or detergents. The disposal of waste adhesives must comply with local government environmental protection regulations.
