WANNATE HT-200

WANNATE® HT-200 (hexamethylene diisocyanate-based polyisocyanate) is an aliphatic polyisocyanate. It is a colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid at room temperature.

As a raw material for polyurethane production, WANNATE® HT-200 is mainly used as a lightfast curing agent for two-component polyurethane coatings, imparting excellent chemical resistance, weatherability, outstanding gloss retention and exceptional mechanical properties to coatings. Ideal co-reactants include polyacrylates, polyester polyols and alkyd resins.

 

Coating systems formulated with WANNATE® HT-200 are suitable for air-drying or baking applications, including automotive original equipment manufacturing (OEM) coatings, automotive refinish, transportation vehicles, industrial products and plastic finishing.

 

 

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Keep containers tightly closed. Store separately from oxidizing agents, acids, alkalis, alcohols and food chemicals, and avoid mixed storage.

 

WANNATE® HT-200 can be diluted with ester, ketone and aromatic solvents such as ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, cyclohexanone, toluene, xylene, etc. It generally has good miscibility with the above solvents, but the storage stability of the prepared solution must be tested. Only urethane-grade solvents (water content < 0.05%, free of reactive groups such as hydroxyl or amino groups) shall be used. Aliphatic hydrocarbons are not suitable as diluents.

 

WANNATE® HT-200 should not be diluted to a solid content below 40%. Solutions with low binder content may develop turbidity and precipitation after long-term storage.

 

WANNATE® HT-200 is generally compatible with aliphatic polyisocyanates, aromatic polyisocyanates, polyether polyols and polyacrylates; however, compatibility testing of the formulated solution is required.

 

This product is sensitive to moisture. It is recommended to store the product in the original sealed container under cool and dry conditions at 0–30 °C. Storage at elevated temperatures will cause an increase in viscosity and color number. With proper storage conditions, the shelf life of the product is at least 9 months.
