WANNATE HB-200

WANNATE® HB-200 (hexamethylene diisocyanate-based biuret polyisocyanate) is an aliphatic polyisocyanate. It is a colorless or light yellow transparent liquid at room temperature with a faint ester odor.

WANNATE® HB-200 is mainly used as a curing agent component for light-resistant two-component polyurethane coatings. The coatings feature excellent chemical resistance, weatherability, outstanding gloss retention, and superior mechanical properties.

 

Coating systems formulated with WANNATE® HB-200 are suitable for air-drying or baking curing, and are applied in automotive original equipment manufacturing (OEM) coatings, automotive refinish, transportation vehicles, industrial product and plastic finishing, metal anti-corrosion, construction machinery, bridges and other heavy-duty anti-corrosion fields.

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Keep containers tightly sealed. Store separately from oxidizing agents, acids, alkalis, alcohols and food chemicals, and avoid mixed storage.

 

WANNATE® HB-200 can be diluted with ester solvents, ketone solvents and aromatic hydrocarbon solvents, such as ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, methyl isobutyl ketone, cyclohexanone, toluene, xylene, etc. It generally has good miscibility with the above solvents, but the storage stability of the prepared solution must be tested. Different storage conditions may result in different storage stability. Only urethane-grade solvents (water content <0.05%, free of active groups such as hydroxyl or amino groups) shall be used. Aliphatic hydrocarbons are not suitable as diluents.

 

WANNATE® HB-200 shall not be diluted to a solid content below 40%. Solutions with low binder content may become cloudy and precipitate after long-term storage.

 

WANNATE® HB-200 is generally compatible with aliphatic polyisocyanates, aromatic polyisocyanates, polyether polyols and polyacrylates, but the compatibility of the formulated solution needs to be tested.

 

This product is sensitive to moisture. High-temperature storage will cause an increase in viscosity and color number. Under cool and dry conditions at 0~30℃, the shelf life of the product in the original unopened container is 9 months.
