Wanhua Energy Conservation contributes corporate strength to near-zero buildings

From November 21 to 22, the “10th National Near-Zero Energy and Zero-Carbon Building Conference 2023” was held in Yantai, Shandong, under the guidance of the China Building Energy Conservation Association and the Shandong Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and hosted by the Ultra-Low Energy Consumption Building Branch of the China Building Energy Conservation Association, China Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd., and Yantai Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau.

The conference set up a main forum “Promoting Building Energy and Carbon Dual Control and Improving Independent Contribution to Carbon Reduction”, 10 special forums including “High-quality Ultra-Low Energy Consumption Residential Buildings”, “From Zero-Carbon Buildings to Zero-Carbon Parks”, “Energy Saving and Structural and Fire Safety Coordinated Development”, “Polyurethane High-Performance Doors, Windows and Curtain Walls”, and a comprehensive exhibition of high-performance product parts. Wanhua Energy Conservation actively participated in the discussion of the application and development trends of polyurethane materials in the field of building doors, windows and curtain walls, and explored how to use the characteristics and advantages of polyurethane materials to bring cleaner and sustainable solutions to the construction industry, promote the development of zero-carbon buildings, and continuously interact with customers in the exhibition area to share technology.

At this conference, the 3# employee dormitory of Wanhua Yantai Industrial Park Staff Dormitory and Supporting Facilities Project was awarded the title of “Near Zero Energy Consumption Building”. After the meeting, leaders and experts visited the project site together for exchanges. Wanhua Energy Conservation was deeply involved in this project, and carried out a lot of application research and development upgrades for the polyurethane sandwich insulation wall used in the high-efficiency energy-saving insulation system. It creatively applied the polyurethane pouring foaming process in the home appliance industry to the field of wall insulation integration, greatly improving the insulation and air tightness of the building’s exterior walls; at the same time, through “wall structure insulation integration, roof insulation and waterproof integration, exterior wall insulation, floor insulation and sound insulation, underground engineering protection, energy-saving doors and windows” and other systematic solutions, it helped to create a near-zero energy consumption building with national influence.

In the future, Wanhua Energy Conservation will continue to focus on the research and development, production, sales and services of polyurethane energy-saving series products with the Wanhua brand as the core, enhance its independent contribution to carbon reduction, set a benchmark for the industry, and make positive contributions to achieving my country’s “dual carbon” goals!
