Product Description
Vesmody® U905 is a high‑efficiency strongly pseudoplastic non‑ionic polyurethane thickener. It can effectively increase low‑shear viscosity of water‑borne systems and delivers high thixotropy, with minor impact on water resistance and gloss of coating films. It is suitable for thickening of any water‑borne systems, and especially applicable for textile coatings, architectural coatings and industrial coatings. Solvent: Water, Diethylene Glycol Butyl Ether. Biocide: (CMIT/MIT = 3:1) 10 ppm and MIT 200 ppm.

Formulation & Application
Vesmody® U905 is a free‑flowing liquid for convenient addition. It can be added directly during paint adjustment, or diluted with organic solvents (glycol or diethylene glycol ether‑type solvents are recommended) prior to addition.
Due to varying characteristics of different emulsions and different dosage levels, the dosage of Vesmody® U905 shall be adjusted according to the target viscosity of the final product. The recommended dosage is 0.1‑2.0 % of total formulation mass (as‑supplied basis). The exact addition amount shall be determined by pre‑tests prior to paint adjustment.
Storage
Store in a dark, cool and dry location within a temperature range of 5‑35 °C with intact packaging. The shelf‑life is one year from the date of production. Performance evaluation is recommended before use if the shelf‑life has expired. Seal the container immediately after each withdrawal. Once opened, use the product as soon as possible.
