Double Awards! Graphite-Modified New Materials Are Recognized By Industry Authorities Again

Recently, the Shandong Refrigeration Society and the Shandong Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association jointly hosted the “2025 Shandong Refrigeration, Air-conditioning and HVAC Academic Exchange Conference”. Wanhua Energy Conservation won the “Third Prize of Shandong Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Science and Technology Award” and the “2024 Science and Technology Innovation Award” for its outstanding technical innovation strength and industrial application results. Among them, the award-winning project “Graphite-modified Flame-retardant Rigid Foam Polyurethane Spray New Material” has become a model of industry technology upgrading with its breakthrough flame retardant performance, environmental protection characteristics and wide market application.

This material adjusts its closed-cell rate by adding a specific type and amount of expandable graphite to polyurethane foam, so that it maintains low thermal conductivity and high closed-cell rate while achieving ideal flame retardant performance, thereby providing safer and more efficient solutions for cold chain warehousing, building insulation and other fields.

At present, Wanhua Energy Conservation has successfully applied this technology to many projects such as Guangdong Jinbang Cold Chain Logistics Park and Yuxi International Trade and Logistics Port, which not only brings economic benefits of low-energy operation, but also creates high safety level, green and low-carbon social benefits, achieving a win-win situation.
