Product Description

Vesmody® A801 is an anionic acrylic alkali‑swollen thickener. It can effectively improve medium‑ and low‑shear viscosity and enhance the anti‑settling performance of coatings. It can be used alone or in combination with other thickeners in latex paint formulations, and exhibits good compatibility with various emulsions. Solvent: Water. Biocide: (CMIT/MIT = 3:1) 0.049‰.

Formulation & Application

Vesmody® A801 is a low‑viscosity liquid thickener for convenient addition. Prior to addition, adjust the system pH to 8‑9, then dilute the product with water at a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 before feeding.

Due to varying characteristics of different emulsions and different dosage levels, the dosage of Vesmody® A801 shall be adjusted according to the target viscosity of the final product. The recommended dosage is 3‑5 % of total formulation mass (as‑supplied basis). The exact addition amount shall be determined by pre‑tests prior to paint adjustment.

Storage

Store in a dark, cool and dry location within a temperature range of 5‑35 °C with intact packaging. The shelf‑life is 12 months from the date of production. Performance evaluation is recommended before use if the shelf‑life has expired. Seal the container immediately after each withdrawal. Once opened, use the product as soon as possible.
