PART 1 Government and enterprises discuss housing solutions

At the project site, Minister Sukkar observed in detail the structural principles of SIPs panels and the on-site assembly process. This new green building material that integrates structure, insulation, sound insulation and fire prevention can improve construction efficiency by 60%. The Wanhua polyurethane insulation layer built into the board can increase the building utilization rate by 8.5%, and the overall green recyclable materials of the project reach 90%. Minister Suka said: “The federal government is accelerating the construction of affordable housing through some fiscal measures. Wanhua Energy’s prefabricated board model is highly consistent with Australia’s housing strategy. We look forward to the cooperation between the two sides in more social housing projects.”

PART 2 Technology empowers the solution of industry pain points

SIPs board is a new product created by Wanhua Energy based on the needs of the Australian market. It took 3 years to complete the Australian Building Product System CodeMark certification. As the first community development project in Victoria to use SIPs technology, the Nunawading project covers an area of 49,060 square meters and plans to build 173 independent villas and townhouses. Councillor McGowan pointed out: “The cooperation model of ‘Chinese smart manufacturing + local construction’ can not only alleviate the pressure of construction worker shortage, but also ensure that the quality of housing meets Australian standards, providing a sustainable solution for the development of the industry.”

PART 3 Helping to build Australia’s seven-star community

Hao Ao, general manager of Wanhua Energy Saving Modex, said: “The Nunawading project is not only a solution to housing shortages, but also a deep integration of Chinese green technology and Australian sustainable community standards. SIPs panels can reduce carbon emissions throughout the community construction process. With rooftop photovoltaics and community intelligent energy management systems, the project can obtain Green Star 7-star certification and build a sustainable community.”
